一.Maintain water plants
Reasonable fertilization, control of light, and control of carbon dioxide content are necessary. There are many types of water grass fertilizers, usually divided into three types:
1、Ingot fertilizer, including base fertilizer - placed in the bottom sand, is a long-term fertilizer; Root fertilizer - pressed in the bottom sand near the roots, generally free of nitrate or phosphate;
2、Liquid fertilizers, usually fortified with iron, contain comprehensive nutrients that can be absorbed by the leaves of aquatic plants;
3、Professional fertilizers, such as carbon dioxide series.
二.Water plant diseases
Water plants also age, and withered and yellow leaves may not necessarily be sick. But if the original growth is good, but later stops sprouting, discoloration, and withering, it may be illness.
1、The continuous overgrowth of plants indicates insufficient light;
2、The thinning, yellowing, or transparency of the leaves may also be due to insufficient sunlight, mainly due to insufficient nutrients and the need for fertilization;
3、The leaves are defective, which may be eaten by fish or snails. If the round ones are snails, they will be caught. If the bite marks are very messy, it means that you have a Tropical fish that likes grass very much. You can either change the fish to another tank or feed more plant feed, which may be helpful;
4、Rotten and hairy, there are several possibilities, including temperature, light, water quality, and algae. Among them, algae are the enemies of aquatic plants, which compete with them for nutrients, carbon dioxide, and block light. When they appear in large quantities, they are water blooms, and the generation of bubbles is very dangerous for grass and fish.
The method to control algae is prevention, reasonable lighting, regular partial water changes, and monitoring of water quality at any time. If it has lost control, you can buy some powerful algae suppressants or filter with ion resin.
